$75 prize to the best voted demoman jump map created by the end of July 31st.



Rules & FAQ Below.

1.) Must be Demoman Jump Map.
2.) Must be new and original
3.) Must be at least 10 Jumps
4.) Must be submitted on or before July 31st.
5.) You Must Register by July 1st to enter. (see FAQ below)

FAQ.

1.) How Do I register? Answer: Please register by replying to this thread. Post alias,country, and steam name.

2.) How will I get paid? Answer: Through paypal or amazon gift card.

3.) How will the winner be chosen? Answer: It will be tested then voted on by the entire jump community through a poll.

4.) Any prizes for 2nd or 3rd place? Answer: Yes but not money prizes.

5.) Can anyone enter? Answer: Of course including international.

6.) Does it need textures? Answer: Entirely up to you.

7.) How do I submit my map after completion? Answer: Reply to the thread and an admin will contact you directly through PM with instructions.

8.) How do I register to vote? Answer: Go to this thread and register your account to be able to vote later on.

Demoman Jump Project Summer 2011

Goal of this project is to create a compilation of unique demoman  jumps compiled together into one large professionally edited video then posted on youtube & other gaming sites.

Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of skill we would love for you to be involved & submit some jumps.

Please respond to this thread if you would like to be involved with your alias, steam name & any questions you have.


FAQ Below.

1.) All submissions are welcome as long as they are demoman & unique in some way. Any map is acceptable regardless if its a jump map.

2.) How do I record a demo? Answer: type "record <demo name>" in console, and "stop" when you are done recording. More info here - http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Help:Recording_demos#Basic_Demo_Recording

3.) How do I name the demos? Answer: Label the demos accordingly map,alias,jump number if possible, example Hobo2-Conductor-3.

4.) How do I submit the demos? Answer: Zip all demos then use www.mediafire.com or any other media sharing sites to upload and post
the download url in this thread.

5.) Do you want source TV demos? Answer: If possible always use source tv for better viewing angles during editing.

6.) How do I enable and record with Source TV? Answer: tv_stoprecord name, tv_record name, tv_enable 1, tv_delay 0.

7.) Deadline to submit demos is August 31st.

-Removed the old god mode plugin
     -New plugin doesn't have the previous !mortal command
-Removed the old melee only plugin
     -Installed wpnblock to block certain weapons that can be distracting instead
-Added build restriction for engies
-Changed JA to clear saves upon map change to avoid all players being teleported upon mapstart from one player's previous save

The new Surf iT server is now up and running, if you have any requests for new maps etc feel free to post about it here. Timers will probably be implemented sometime in the next week.
