TF2: Loose Cannon Demoman [Commentary] Mecha Update

(3 minutes in)

Star talks about jumping with the new grenade launcher. Does it have potential?

TF2: Rocket Jumping Basics

I think this would be a good addition to the soldier tutorials section

General Discussion / TF2Jump Logo'd rocket/sticky jumper
« on: October 21, 2012, 07:28:04 AM »
We have the normal rocket/sticky launcher models with logos, but now since both the rocket and sticky jumpers have been buffed and have their own models and everything, it would be nice to have logo's on those weapons if anyone is good at model editing.

Jump Help / Crouching while airstrafing
« on: October 01, 2012, 02:46:22 PM »
I've seen the opinion expressed a few times on /r/truetf2 that crouching whilst airstrafing makes no difference to the control whilst airstrafing. However, I've seen it said here that it does, and I've always thought it does. Who is right?

Jump Help / Demoman tips
« on: August 19, 2012, 04:52:08 AM »
So I recently started maining demoman in competitive play and whilst I can rocket jump fairly competently, I realised my sticky jumping skills stopped around using two stickies and air-strafing well. I have had a few hours practice at sticky pogoing and I can now keep the pogo going, and occasionally go in the direction I want. Apart from this though, the rest of sticky jumping is a mystery, even after Conductor's videos. So does anyone have any tips/techniques for sticky jumping that might not be immediately obvious to a relatively beginner sticky jumper?

Jump Help / Easier jump maps for demo

Are there any beginner demo jump maps? All the ones I have seem to jump (pun) straight into harder techniques.

Jump Help / Dropping down to start a pogo
« on: August 11, 2012, 03:25:29 AM »
On the jumps where you can't just fall off the ledge and immediately start pogoing, but have to shoot at an adjacent wall to slow you down first, how do you do the slowing down part? (e.g. later pogos on jump_adventure)

Jump IT / JuJump iT / Any good UK/EU servers?
« on: August 09, 2012, 09:39:23 AM »
The only jump servers I can find are ones with loads of crappy plugins that ruin the experience. The worst offenders I've found had the monoculus in the middle of a bunch of jumps and one had gravity set to 200.

So if anyone has the ip's of good UK/EU jump servers, I'd really appreciate it.

General Discussion / How long have you guys spent practising jumping?
« on: August 07, 2012, 02:56:18 PM »
I'm not sure of the time myself, because most of it was done when I didn't have internet but I'd estimate ~40 hours

General Discussion / Jumps involving melee
« on: July 09, 2012, 06:36:46 AM »
There are loads of jumps that involve shotgunning a panel to open grates and stuff, so what would you guys think of jumps that involved panels that you had to hit with melee, if it's possible to make an addition like that?

General Discussion / Pyro jumping
« on: January 28, 2012, 05:05:52 PM »
Since the detonator buff, has anyone tried doing anything awesome with it? Is it good enough to make maps specifically for detonator jumping? I guess you could include reflect rocket jumping too, like on jump_pyro_stock.

Jump Help / Jumping off a flat surface without touching it
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:55:13 AM »
Not sure on the technical name of it, but the ones that I've tried have stumped me so far, Jump 11 on jump_beef, and 9 on jump_quba:

I understand the theory, and I managed to do the jump_quba one once, but I haven't had any luck since. I've come really close a few times but never done the jump_beef one.

Any tips? I could upload something to youtube if that would make it easier
