continuous instead of using teleports in between jumps

Continuous is good if it's set up like jump_void or jump_pizzanbeer, otherwise teleports are a better option. Spending half the run going through corridors and trying not to get caught on props is stupid.

Maps like jump_void are exactly what speedrunning needed in tf2. Challenging to get a good time but anyone can play it without getting stuck on a jump for hours on end. GJ.

Can you submit more than one entry. For ex. Josh gets a 20 minute time on Orbit. He sends it in. 4 days late he sends in another submission of 15 minutes. Would that be allowed to make your time better, or can you only submit one and only one final submission? thanks

Tell Josh to practice more cause 15 mins is garbage

Aurora is one of the best soldier jumpers in the entire world at this point

Stopped reading here, obviously a troll post.

I dont know if this was answered earlier in the thread but is there going to be some kind of live scoreboard/leaderboard for each week so people know the current time to beat?

All the good jumpers would be stupid not to hold onto their demos until the end of submissions, otherwise everyone will know what time they need to beat.

General Discussion / Re: new C-tap script
« on: October 20, 2013, 07:12:21 PM »
OK, am I retarded or missing something? Because that "c-tap script" looks to me like it just automates doing a basic crouching rocket jump with one button instead of three, and that's not even remotely the same thing as a ctap. I wouldn't think scripting a ctap would be possible without the wait command you can't use without sv_cheats.

You can always script the commands using your keyboard/mouse software if it allows for timed macros.

I want to make a ~3 min video, was planning to use frags but a lot of people have been asking me to go back to jump content so I figured I'll start alternating. Looking for five jumpers who can send me three jumps each, must have stv demos to go with the jumps too.

If you're interested just reply to the thread, and after I get five people I'll announce it. Only accepting jumpers I know unless you can show me that you're really good.

ps. The reason for doing it this way instead of a democall open to everyone is so I know exactly how many demos I'm going to get.

pps. You don't need to have the three jumps ready to go in order to post here. After I pick the five people you can have about six weeks to get the jumps done. I'm in no rush.

Jump Videos / Re: Charity stream
« on: September 29, 2013, 03:38:07 PM »
It's so much fun watching jumping in third person...

this pretty much explains pretty jumps and stuff

There's a big difference between a stream and an entry for an editing competition. Also the third person was mostly used for transitions, most of the actual jumps were still in first person.
